So you downloaded the distribution. First, make sure that you have GLUT32.DLL in your system. Most likely you don't have it. You can find it from the opengl.org.

Also you will need OpenGL hardware acceleration. Matrox G400, or TNT2, or GeForce are good choices. Voodoo3 is currently not so good choice, because some odd bug slows it down. That bug MUST be hunted down, but it will be hard because I have no V3. Voodoo2 is not so good choice, because it has no full OpenGL library. I have not tried WickedGL, but ordinary minigl:s probably just won't work. Old 3DFX Voodoo OpenGL beta 2.1 works fine, but it might be a bit hard to find it nowdays. I'm not sure wheter I'm allowed to distibute that library, so you won't find it here, you'll have to look it somewhere else. Sorry.

Next thing is to get all graphics in place. You must have unpack.exe (or any other application which lets you to unpack GPL .dat files). Make directories named "k" and "c" (without quotes) to the directory you have unpacked player.

Example:
c:\myplayer
c:\myplayer\k
c:\myplayer\c

Then go to k-directory and unpack kyalami.dat there. And next, go to c-directory and unpack eagle.dat there.

Now everything should be fine. Run player.exe. If OpenGL-view opens, you have unpacked files correctly. If some error appears on screen, you probably did not unpack files correctly.

In the player, you can fly around with keyboard. Commands are:
Key Description
q Turn 10 degrees left
w Turn 10 degrees right
a Advance 2 meters
s Back 2 meters
A Advance 20 meters
S Back 20 meters
r Print position (to the console)
o One meter up
p One meter down
z Move lookat point one meter down
x Move lookat point one meter up
